A week in my life while traveling
Before we do anything fun, I have to get my school work done. I will write a blog about that next but for now, the fun stuff!
Monday
On Monday we had to pack, because we were going to move that day. We were moving to Causeway Bay where our new AirB&B was. We had to wait until three o’clock so we had to stay inside of a restaurant where we could put down our luggage and wait for the AirB&B to prepare everything.
After about two hours, our new home in Causeway Bay was ready. We found a taxi and got to our home. When we got to our new home in Causeway Bay we started to unpack our things and get comfortable.
Here is a picture of Causeway Bay.
Tuesday
First, we went to a place called Wong Nai Chung where there was a lake with paddle boats that you could rent. Next, we rented a paddle boat and rode around for three hours. It was very fun but tiring.
Later that day, we went home and went to a place called I-one. In I-one, you can rent some of the best gaming PCs and equipment to game. We rented two PCs with curved monitors and a gaming keyboard along with a mouse and played Minecraft for an hour.
Wednesday
First, we went to the Victoria Park to meet some friends and do some things like have a water fight, made some things out of sticks, and many other things like that. There are a bunch of kids who are homeschooled in Hong Kong. We play with them every week.
Once we were done, we headed home and my dad went out to go eat with one of the kids parents while me and my mom went to eat ramen together. After that, we went to Victoria Park to have a small walk before going home.
Thursday
Our relatives drove us to the Lions Nature Education Center where we looked at museums with displays about fishing, farming, shells, and rocks. I think that my favourite display was the shells displays because there were multiple different types of shells, from the biggest shells to ever exist, to some of the smallest.
Next, we went to the Saikong Country Park where we caught a lot of small Tide crabs. Sadly, we didn’t catch any fish. The crabs were quite easy to catch and we let them go right after.
On the way to dinner, we passed by a police station. Suddenly, a cow walked out of the police station! There were four cows that I named Jim, Joe, Bob, and John.
After the strange encounter, we went to eat at a Saikong Seafood Restaurant where we had a lot of food.
Friday
We took a subway to a stop near a place we wanted to visit called Aberdeen. We took a boat ride to Aberdeen where we walked around and looked at things like Dragon Boats, a light house and a boat typhoon shelter where people would park boats to avoid typhoons that would likely cause lots of damage and probably sink boats. I thought that it was very interesting.(there were lots of jelly fish, be careful!)
Saturday
We took the subway to a station called Shau Kei Wan where we transferred on to a mini van. Then, we took the mini van to Big Wave Bay beach. We met up with our friends from Victoria Park, but this time at a beach. It was very fun. The water was cool but the weather was also quite warm so, it was just right. We also dug a huge pit and kept digging until we hit water.
Sunday
We went to see the Noon Day Gun. The Noon Day Gun is a cannon that goes of at noon every day. I think that it was too loud but it was quite cool. After doing a bit of research, I found out that the noon day gun did not shoot anything but air.
After that, I went to the Botanical Garden which had lots of plants and animals like Bamboo, Gorillas, Pitcher plants, food stands and JACKFRUIT (YUMMY!!) My favourite part was the Bamboo Forest. The weather was quite hot so we didn’t stay for too long.
